VISION:


Kami nga mga maligdong nga mga Barangay Opisyal sa Barangay Calabawan, nagatinguha nga makab-ot ang malungtarong pag-uswag sa kapanginabuhi-an og panglawas sa katawhan, kaamguhan sa pagpanalipod sa kabililhon sa kalikopan, pagpatigbabaw sa kahusay og kalinaw, pagbinuligay sa mga lumulupyo sa Barangay aron mapalambo ang panginabuhi og maangkon ang hingpit nga kabulahanan isip Filipino nga nagmahal sa yutang natawhan.




MISSION:


Ang Barangay Calabawan andam nga makiglambigit sa mga nagkalainlaing ahensiya og puno-an sa goberno, sa mga NGOs(Non Government Organization) ug uban pang mga CSOs(Civil Society Organ) og kini nagtumong sa pagpalambo sa tagsatagsa ka mga lumulupyosa Barangay pagkat-on sa pag-ugmad sa ilang hiyas og mga gawi nga pinaagi niini og sa pabinuligay sa mga katawhan, mapalambo ang matang sa panginabuhi, og maangkon ang hingpit nga kabulahanan sa tanan.




GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:


1. To become competent, effective and efficient local legislations.

2. To mobilize BBI's, NGO's and PO's towards the achievement of Barangay's Vision, Mission and Goals and to immediately respond and addressed the needs in time of disaster particularly victims of disaster.

3. To train individuals on productive livelihood programs in order to earn extra income to support a living.

4. To uplift the ideas of officials and committee on adaptive management of barangay waste.

5. To establish a concrete Barangay Roads and Far-to-Market Roads.

II. Governance

barangay Officials of Barangay Clabawan yearly posted the Full Disclosure Policy board in Multi-purpose Hall. Punong Barangay Esmeraldo Emia appointing Brgy. Kagawad Analito Singco as Bid and Awards Committee(BAC) chairman and performed the duties and function as BAC chairman for bidding purposes of different programs, projects and activities of Barangay specifically for posting and/or publication of PHILGEPS. Every year Barangay Officials of Barangay Calabawan conduct Barangay Assembly for informing the constituents the financial status of Barangay funds, status of ongoing programs, projects and activities, and discuss different problems and issues concern in Barangay.




III. Business and Economy

Farming, Buy and Sell, Hog and Poultry raising were sources of employment and livelihood in the Barangay. Barangay Officials open and welcome everyone for putting any business in the Barangay. Tourism business particularly massage were the best opportunities for there so many tourist visiting in Inambakan Falls. Construction of cottages for rent also in needed and also best opportunities for the visiting tourists. Applying for business permit or certification, clearances had a process and just contact the Barangay Captain and Barangay Secretary for processing.




IV. Tourism

In Sitio Inambakan, Brgy. Calabawan located the famous multi-level Inambakan Falls, a tourist spot destination and the distance form the heart of the Municipality in is more or less 3.9km and it takes to travel around 10-15 minutes by motorcycle and/or vehicle from town proper/or heart of the Municipality. Small amount will be collected to anyone as an entrance fee who wanted to see the famous Multi-level Inambakan Falls. Come and visit the famous multi-level Inambakan Falls.




V. Services

More or less 78% of total number of Household of Barangay Calabawan access to potable water(safe drinking water) supplied through water faucets in individual households. The remaining 22% access in commonal water supply or water supplied by public water faucets. Barangay Calabawan through its vision and mission, "andam nga makiglambigit sa nagkalainlaing ahensiya og puno-an sa goberno, mga Non-Government Org-NGOs og People Organizations-POs og uban pang Civil Society Org.-CSO og kini nagtumong para pagpalambo sa tagsatagsa ka lumulopyo sa Barangay Calabawan para maangkon ang kahusay, kalinaw og seguridad, kahimsog sa panglawas, luwas sa katalagman pinaagi sa aktibong partisipasyon sa nagkalainlaing metings nga ipahigayon alang sa disaster preparedness program sa barangay." Barangay Council of Barangay Calabawan passed Resolutions and Barangay Captain issued Executive Orders(EO) for peacen order and safety of the constituents and for disaster preparedness program of the Barangay.




VI. About your Barangay

Barangay Calabawan is one of the 14 barangays under the Municipal Government of Ginatilan, a fifth class Municipality under the province of Cebu and has a total area of 468 hectares and has a distance of 3.0 kilometers from the heart of the Municipality. Barangay Calabawan is geographically bounded on the East is Brgy. Mangaco, West is Brgy. Poblacion, North is Brgy. Cagsing, and South is Brgy. Poblacion and portion of Brgy. Palanas. Barangay Calabawan is compose of six(6) Sitios namely Sitio Kambahoy, Sitio Kamboanding Sitio Proper, Sitio Kandupay, Sitio Inambakan and Sitio Cambangnan and the Barangay celebratesits Annual Fiesta every October 28 and 29 in Honor of Patron Saint Jude Thaddues. Based on the 2018 COMELEC records, Barangay Calabawan has 402 registered voters, 197 are males and 205 are females and has two(2) precincts namely: Precinct 0017A and 0018A. According to our forefathers, "ang dapit nga Barangay Calabawan wala pa kini ngalan kani-adto. Sumala sa sulti sa mga katigulangan kini nga lugara daghan og mga sagbot nga kaonon sa mga mananap, og dinhi nga lugara manganha ang mga ihalas nga kalabaw(wild carabao) para manga-on sa mga sagbot. Kada adlaw moanha na kanunay ang mga ihalas nga kalabaw para pagkaon sa pagkaon nilang sagbot. Ang mga tawo malingaw na nga magtan-aw sa mga ihalas nga kalabaw nga manga-on sa mga sagbot og nadungog na kini sa ubang Barangay. Ang mga tawo sa ubang lugar manganha na aron pagtan-aw sa mga ihalas nga kalbaw nga manga-on og mga sagbot. Ang ubang tawo mangutana sa mga tawong nakakita na og gustong mobalik pagtan-aw. Asa na sab mo? Ang tubag sa mga nakakita, Adto mi lugar sa Kalabawan, motan-aw nasab mi sa mga ihalas nga mga kalabawnga mangaon og sagbot."

From there on, Kalabawan na ang itubag kung pangutan-on ang mga tawo nga moadto sa lugar aron motan-aw sa mga ihalas kalabaw, and ila ila na kini tawgon og "Mangadto mi sa Kalabawan."
Presently, the Barangay is named Calabawan.
